Corrections Policy
Accuracy is the foundation of a review site. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and transparently.
Our Commitment
We take factual accuracy seriously. Every specification, test result, and claim in our reviews is checked against manufacturer documentation and our own measurements. But mistakes happen, specs change, and products get updated. When errors are found, we correct them.
Types of Corrections
Minor Corrections
Typos, formatting issues, broken links, and minor factual clarifications are fixed without a formal correction notice. These do not affect the substance of a review or recommendation.
Significant Corrections
Errors in specifications (wrong weight, capacity, price), incorrect test results, or factual claims that could affect a purchase decision receive a correction notice at the top of the affected page. The notice includes what was wrong, what the correct information is, and when the correction was made.
Rating Changes
If a correction changes our assessment of a product enough to warrant a rating adjustment, we update the score and add a note explaining why. This also applies to firmware updates, significant price changes, or new information that materially changes our evaluation.
How to Report an Error
If you spot an error on PortablePowerPick, please contact us with:
- The URL of the page with the error
- What you believe is incorrect
- The correct information (with a source, if possible)
We review all corrections reports and respond within a few business days. If your report leads to a correction, we appreciate the help in keeping our content accurate.
Price Accuracy
Product prices on PortablePowerPick reflect the retail price at the time of publication or last update. Prices fluctuate frequently, especially on Amazon. We update prices periodically but cannot guarantee real-time accuracy. Always verify the current price at the retailer before purchasing. Sale prices and coupon codes mentioned in our content may expire without notice.
Product Changes
Manufacturers occasionally update products without changing the model name (revised internals, new firmware, different battery cells). When we become aware of such changes, we note them in the review and re-test if the changes are significant enough to affect performance.
